Very disappointed
By MP/
Much thinner and weaker material than projected in sales info.
Is not what I consider even a medium strength box.
Is NOT waterproof if left outside. Got wet inside first time it rained, and if there is ANY water on the top of the lid, it will run inside when you open the box.
Would be fine if you stored light items in the box, inside a home or garage.
However, you can do that with a rubbermaid storage box that is less than half the price.
I don't think it is even a $20.00 box.
Dee Zee might have some good steel or aluminum truck boxes, but this one is not in their league at all............
VERY DISAPPOINTED ............ & a little upset for wasting my hard earned dollars.

Okay Plastic Tool Box
By E. Hernandez
I am keeping the box. It is a nice leisure box or temporary cargo box for the back of t my Ranger, but don't confuse this with the heavy duty tool boxes that will permanently secure to your pickup bed because it is not. You can lock the front of it and I will rig it to be able to secure to the back of my truck but it is generally of flimsy plastic quality. So if you have modest expectations and are not storing expensive tools for long periods in the back of your truck, then you should be okay with getting this. I will use it as a cargo box for outdoor events and for storing stuff when moving from point a to point b since it will protect whatever you put in it against the elements better than just laying it on the bed of the truck with the cover over it.

Lighter than expected
By J. Lopez
Showed up on time. It appears to be a little lighter gauge plastic than I expected.
I used this as a "Bolt ON" tool box on the tongue of my travel trailer. It appears to be holding up just fine. We'll see in a year but so far so good.
