STORAGE CONTAINER IS NOT WATER PROOF AND WILL NOT PROTECT CONTENTS FROM RAIN.
This DEE ZEE DZ 91717P Poly Triangle Trailer storage Box is an absolute disappointment and waste of anybody's time and money.The lid leaks something terrible!! After a recent rain I happened to look inside, only to find hand tools sitting in a puddle of water,plus many other items including an electric drill and air compressor were ruined beyond repair.Further more the hasp that holds the pad lock is difficult to secure a lock to(very little room). Obviously it is also hard to remove. Looking at the design of this item these problems are hardly an isolated issue. Not much thought or quality control was put into the product.
DO NOT consider purchasing the box.You also will be disapointed.Sooner or later you will encounter the same needless issues I have described.

Soggy contents

Received this item quickly and in good shape. I was however disappointed on how thin the plastic was on all surfaces. Also I went out this morning after a night of hard rain and opened the lid to find all the contents was thoroughly soaked with an half inch of water in the bottom. The water appears to be coming in from the back. I don't recommend this toolbox to anyone who needs to keep things dry! Add says "Weatherproof" not so true!

The box is lightweight yet heavy-duty. It works perfectly for added secure space on the front of my motorcycle tent-trailer without adding a lot of unnecessary tongue weight.
