Does the job but needed modification

The unit is well built and offers a lot of storage area behind the rear seat. However, when I purchased this organizer, I was under the impression that it would fit my truck (2006 GMC 2500HD Crew Cab). My brother has the same truck but a 2003 and it fits his (different vents). Well, it didn't fit mine. The overall length of the organizer interfered with the fresh air exhaust vents behind the rear seat. This caused the unit to sit too high, thus not allowing the rear seat-back to latch into position. No bueno. I called Dee Zee and they said they don't make one for my truck, but I really wanted and needed it. Hence, I modified it. I cut approximately 5" out of one end of the organizer (on the end with the large, full-height storage area) and reattached the end cap (with glue & screws). This allowed the organizer to sit down where it was supposed to, allowing the rear seat-back to latch into place. I removed the plastic covers for the baby seat tether anchors in the rear cab wall, drilled a hole in the organizer corresponding to each anchor point and simply zip-tied the top of the organizer to the tether anchors. Problem solved! It now works as designed and stores all of my stuff behind the seat, out of sight, yet very handy.

Great addition to truck

I can load a ton of stuff in this organizer. It makes my truck neat; which makes the passenger (wife) happy.

As advertised - just not quite the space saver I thought

hard to mount to cab so it will not move forward, shelfs are very small. Plastic looks good and shelves are the size advertised
